College Recruiting Information:

During the SBA Winter Camp we spent a couple of hours going through college
recruiting and college recruiting responsibilities and resources.  I have provided some
of the important links below for those that were not able to attend or needed to review
the materials again.  I have also attached a complete list of the schools located in the
North West that have college baseball programs that you may want to check out.
18U Players that have not yet completed a draft Player Profile sheet and turned into
your coach need to get this completed as well – draft worksheet attached.

All seniors need to have completed and SAT test and probably should try to
take the test at least one more time before the baseball season starts.  Test dates
are listed in the attached links.  Some may need to take the ACT test as well.  Juniors
should plan to take the SAT for the first time as well – again preferably before our
summer baseball season starts.  Players (Juniors and Seniors) that want to be recruited
should register with the NCAA Elgibility center and use the Eligibility Center
Test code -  9999 - when taking the SAT or ACT tests.

SBA Buzz and Bomber 18U Players:

Sunday practices:  Sunday night practices started on Nov1 and will continue through the end of December (except for holiday weekends).

SBA Buzz 15U and SBA Bomber 18U  practice time is 6 – 8 pm on Sunday nights

SBA Buzz 18U teams practice from 8 – 10 on Sunday evenings.

These are part of our winter workout schedule and are not considered “Optional” practices but it appears as though they are being treated that way by about 1/3 of the players.  Please plan to attend or at least advise your coach when you are not able to attend.  For all of the 18U teams we have arranged to have at least 3 coaches per team – including a paid pitching instructor -  available on Sunday nights to help our 18U players prepare for their biggest season so I am a little disappointed at the number of no-shows.  Football season is now over for all but a few of our players from Auburn HS – so we expect to see good turnouts for the remaining Sunday night workouts this winter.

PDP Classes:

A few players still owe class fees for your PDP classes – please try to take care of that this week.  There is still some room in the Wednesday night infielders class (5:30 – 7pm) that Mike Nadeau  teaches -  join us this Wednesday if you are interested in that class - cost is $60 for the last 4 classes.

18U players - Seattle University Camps:

Seattle University has a pitchers and catchers camp this weekend (Nov. 20 – 22) and a Pressure Offense camp on Dec 5 – 6.  Go online at their website and sign-up soon if you are interested in one of their camps.  Coach Harrell does a great job with his camps and he usually has several local colleges represented with coach /instructors at his camps.

Paperwork:

Any SBA players that have not yet turned in your paperwork (waiver forms and player contracts) need to do so right away or you will be sent home from practice. They are overdue and need to be in place before we can allow you to practice.

Uniforms:

Players that have been attending practices should have been fitted for  hats and tshirts by now.  If you have not yet been fitted you need to get your hat size and tshirt size to your respective coach this week so we can get hats and tshirts on order for the program.
