At BYU
FRESHMAN - (2009): Got off to a 3-0 start ... threw 120
pitches in BYU's first complete game of the season, his first
collegiate win vs. Southern Utah ... also had victories against
Cal St. Northridge and Utah Valley ... had seven strikeouts in his
seven innings at CSUN... had a 5.40 ERA in five league games

Before BYU
At Hazen High he was league MVP, first-team all-league as a
pitcher and second team all-league as an outfielder ... was first-
team all-state as a pitcher with an 0.84 ERA ... was team captain
for the swim/dive team and a state qualifier ... was a scholar-
athlete who also sang in the choir ... was 4-1 with a 1.15 ERA as
the MVP and first-team all Seamount League ... struck out 16 in
a one-hitter during an April game. He recently struck out five in
two innings at the Perfect Game Nationals in Iowa and played
on the Under Armour National Team.
